Soundcheck Symposium: Live Music in the Sustainable City


A joint venture with Murdoch University. Convened by Jeffrey Hannam (SIAL Sound Studios), Jos Mulder (Murdoch University), Cat Hope (WAAPA) and Jon Perring (Fair Go 4 Live Music).

A one day industry-academic symposium to address noise issues associated with live music performances at inner city music venues, by identifying collaborative solutions that empower stakeholders (musicians, technicians, management) to monitor and take remedial action as necessary. Guest presenter Marcel Kok, MBA, M.Sc (Acoustics), of dBcontrol, a Dutch firm specialising in sound level measurements at live music events, indoors and outdoors. http://soundchecksymposium.murdoch.edu.au
