A SIAL Sound Studios and Elision Ensemble concert. Presented with the  support of RMIT Art Gallery.

A concert to present works commissioned for the RMIT Sonic Arts Collection. The program feature Timothy McCormack’s Heavy Matter (Ben Marks, solo trombone) and Liza Lim’s Weaver of fictions (Genevieve Lacey, solo Ganassi recorder), and the Australian premier of Richard Barrett’s World-Line Cycle performed by SIAL PhD candidate Daryl Buckley (electric lap steel guitar), Peter Neville (percussion) and Tristram Williams (trumpet). This concert continued spatialisation research by Assoc Professor Lawrence Harvey from an earlier ARC Linkage Project between SIAL and Elision Ensemble.

The images show the technical setup for the sound spatialisation. This performance used Reaper, as a control platform. The performance was spatialised over a 12 speaker sound system.
