Gwyllim Jahn is an Associate Lecturer in Architectural Design at RMIT.
He is also a founding member of the Exlab and Elseware collectives.where he is developing an architectural and artistic practice concerned with complex architectural geometry and behavioral systems, interactive environments, algorithmic design and digital fabrication. This agenda is actively promoted through teaching masters and undergraduate studios at RMIT, Monash and Melbourne university focusing on material computation, implicit modelling, narrative, affect and creative intent using digital techniques. He also conducts independent design-make research in the mode of EXLAB workshops and participates as an invited guest in travelling studios to Iran, India and elsewhere. Prior to these current engagements, he completed a Bachelor of Environmental Design at the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Architecture at RMIT and has worked with leading architectural offices including LAB and MvS Architects.
